Evening all...
a quick update...
two weeks back I hatched a plan to make a bait based off an article I'd read about of the early pioneering exploits of Rod Hutchinson and friends. Now, only going by what I had read as merely a hypothesis, I came up with a bait that consisted of 5 overall ingredients and a hunch. Yes, a hunch. Nothing more, nothing less, and put that hunch into a bowl and mixed it into kilo of test bait. Without going into the overall science of the bait and boring the pink nosed puppies off of you, all I will say is, attraction combined with nutrition has worked its magic this evening, as Scott Cook has land a fish in less than an hour on said bait. On sending said bait to Scott a week ago, he was shocked at the smell and wanted to eat it himself and I agreed it was like something my dear old nan would keep in her sideboard such was the aroma. Scott immediately wanted two kilos before a single bait had hit the water, let alone caught a fish. I declined. However it was decided I would make 2kgs still as a test bait, if a carp was caught on its (the baits) first outing. It was, and on a short evening session. The resulting fish can be seen below with Scott. Well in mate. A pleasing result, that will now see this bait hit the bank side for the team in due course.
Until next time, tight lines and enjoy the pic.
