Into Autumn 2020...more fish and PB's!

hey all,

Finally the summer has ended as we have swept literally upon the autumn with the arrival of October next week. Its been an odd year, a year of inconvenience, travesty and also success, but as we go into October I do wonder what the tail end of the year holds for us, I only hope something positive is on the horizon for everyone - sincerely.

With that said lets have some updates, shall we...news and pics!

Firstly lets start with myself, I finally started my campaign (officially) for 2020 a week ago on Sunday 20th September at my favourite fishery, Elphicks. Ive been out bashing pasties for a couple of sessions over the months, but now its my time to get back in the fold. Unfortunatley I came away with a severe hook pull from a hard fighting carp in the reeds from what can only be described as a lump too, so my day ended being hot and cross and coming home with my tail between my legs. Anyway not to be detered, I'll be on the bank in a week or so once bait orders are sorted for the lads.

Next..!

Josh Mayes has been consistently catching, and doing the business landing fish from mid doubles to low 20's up at Norton Disney Embryo Angling, the lake brainchild of Korda head honcho, Danny Fairbrass. I dont think theres been a week since he started his angling campaign there that Josh has come away empty handed. He's a dedicated guy to carp fishing and he has done us proud, I am very very happy with how he has conducted his angling. I believe he has one lake to go before he has had success on all of Norton's lakes. Well done that man.

Scott Cook has been out and had a couple of mixed sessions on the river plus when the lads all did a weekender he was the only one to catch, and for his efforts there he had a Mirror Carp and also a personal best Grass Carp. He's been itching to get out but work and of course understandably, family commitments have prevented it but he was recently rewarded for his perseverance and caught himself a lovely 12lb Barbel in the middle of the night on the trent so well done to him.

One of the newest members of the team, Sam Butler, has been out and about a fair bit with Josh at other waters besides Norton and has had great success on most occasions even landing himself a PB Common Carp, so we were very very happy for him when he did that. We seem to be getting PBs on the bait for most of the guys, so a massive morale booster for the bait making side - we are doing somehting right.

Last but not least in the catch department, a big UP goes to Craig (B.A) Grant. He recently has a 22lb common on his local water at Pavyotts Mill, where he caught his PB 40lb common there on the previous outing, but he's gone and done it again by nabbing a very elusive but stunning 36lb Grass Carp on one of our quietly being tested Banana pop ups. So absolutley well done. The grass carp is the first he has ever caught and ,well, he didnt do it by halves. So good show that man.

Finally, Dave Cook. dave had a recent session up at Norton too on a severly blustery couple of days and managed two stunners, which were certainly well recieved. Dave hasnt been out as much as he'd like either, he's been doing duty as a new grandad (again) so massive congrats to Dave and the family, plus that would make Scott an Uncle too...so hats off to the pair of you. I'm pretty Damn sure we will see more of Dave soon. okay, so thats it for now, haver an awsome Autumn into winter everyone and stay safe. enjoy the pics.... Jay (Gaffer and bait maker at incQbait)
